The Harrodsburg area features the Kentucky River and Herrington Lake, several marinas and campgrounds, and outdoor water sports from kayaking to skiing.

Herrington Lake's 3600 acres are well-stocked for fishing with bluegill, catfish, crappie, largemouth bass, spotted bass and white bass. It is also the perfect playground for many recreational sports.  Rent a canoe or paddle boat or bring your own boat!

We’re also known for our Palisades, the majestic limestone cliffs, along the Kentucky River. Start your water adventure with a ride on the Dixie Belle Riverboat. You’ll find the Harrodsburg waterscapes bring four seasons of beauty inviting year-round travel.
